LOS ANGELES (October 19, 2015) – The deadline for consideration for nomination for this year’s Actors® is fast approaching. Submissions for the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® must be filed by Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at 5 p.m. (PT). Submissions must be submitted online atsagawards.org/submissions.
Why: The Screen Actors Guild Awards are presented by SAG-AFTRA for outstanding individual and ensemble performances in motion pictures, television, cable and new media programs.
Who Submits: With the actor’s permission, producers, studios/networks, agents, managers, or publicists may submit a performance from 2015 for consideration in a category of the actor’s choosing. Actors may also submit their own performances. Submissions may only be made online.
Who Nominates: Nominees will be chosen by two separate film and television nominating panels, each comprised of over 2,200 SAG-AFTRA members from across the United States, who were randomly selected this spring. Nomination ballots will be mailed on Wednesday, Nov. 18 and nominations voting closes on Monday, Dec. 7.
Nominations will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. (ET) / 7 a.m. (PT), carried live on TNT, TBS and sagawards.tntdrama.com. The announcement will be preceded by the unveiling of the stunt ensemble nominations at 9:50 a.m. (ET) / 6:50 a.m. (PT), which will be carried live onsagawards.tntdrama.com.
Final Voting: Once nominees are selected, all SAG-AFTRA members in good standing – more than 111,000 performers – may cast votes to determine who will receive this year's coveted Actor® statuettes. Final voting instructions will be mailed on Wednesday, Dec. 16. Online voting is encouraged. Final voting paper ballots are available only upon request through Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016. Online votes must be cast or previously-requested paper ballots returned by Friday, Jan. 29, to Integrity Voting Systems, the SAG Awards election firm, where results will be sealed until they are opened onstage at the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Ceremony: The 22nd Annual SAG Awards will be simulcast live on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. (ET), 7 p.m. (CT), 6 p.m. (MT) and 5 p.m. (PT).
