22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® “By the Numbers”

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 20, 2016) - The style and décor of the 22nd Annual® Screen Actors Guild Awards® is the very definition of elegance. Delicate chandeliers flourish over the audience and stage like sparkling clouds, while the stage is outlined by gleaming tubes of steel that suggest futuristic organ pipes. A pair of majestic Actor® statues on pedestals stand sentry over a giant center screen, which is framed in additional sleek silver. Far upstage a fiber-optic stardrop curtain provides a celestial twinkle, contrasting with the shimmering light reflected off a cascade of sheer metallic panels and a high-gloss floor.

This tasteful panorama will be the setting for this year’s SAG Awards®, an event that embodies style and community for attendees and audiences alike. That welcoming atmosphere makes it easy to forget that everything here is on a larger-than-life scale.

How large a scale? Here are just a few of the numbers that go into transforming the huge empty space that is the Shrine Exposition Center for the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
