Members: Voting and viewing films for consideration

Voting for the Screen Actors Guild Awards® is done in two stages. The first, nominations balloting, is voted on by two nominating committees. These nominating committees are selected at random by computer each year. The second stage of voting, the final balloting, begins once the nominations are announced December 11, 2013.

Nominations Voting

The SAG Awards Nominating Committees -- 2100 members on the film committee and 2100 members on the television committee -- were randomly selected March 8, 2013 and notified by mail.  Nominating Committee members must confirm their participation by May 3rd.  In order to be eligible to be selected for the random nom comm pull, your Nov. 2012 dues must have been paid by Feb. 28, 2013.  Nominations ballot packets will be mailed to Nominating Committee members on Nov. 20, 2013 and must be returned Dec. 9th.  The results of the nominations voting will be announced live on TNT Dec. 11, 2013.

Final Balloting

Once nominations are announced, final ballot information will be mailed to the full eligible membership on Dec. 16, 2013.  In order to be eligible to vote, members must pay their Nov. 2013 dues -- and any address changes must be in -- by Dec. 2nd.  Members may receive "for your consideration" materials before ballots are due.  These screening opportunities may include information provided to you online (check back to this page in December for more information) or materials may be mailed to you.  Please note all mailings are done through our Union mailing house - SAG-AFTRA does not release your contact information to the studios.  Final Balloting closes on January 17, 2014 at 12 noon PT.

The recipients of the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS Saturday, January 18, 2014.  Please watch!

SAG Awards "For Your Consideration" Screenings

The SAG Awards has established an email database for SAG-AFTRA members who wish to be contacted should seats for nominating committee screenings become available.  Most of these screenings are in Los Angeles and New York and occasionally in other major metropolitan areas. Please know that these offerings can happen very last minute and RSVPs will be on a first come, first served basis.  SAG Awards Nom Comm members will receive first priority. If you are interested in receiving email invitations to these film screenings please go to: www.sagawardsRSVP.org and register.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Outside of the Nominating Committe, SAG-AFTRA and the SAG Awards have no policy allowing SAG-AFTRA members free admission into films at local theaters.

If you have further questions about member screenings, nominations or final voting, please contact the Awards Office at awardsinfo@sagawards.org or (323) 549-6707.
