SAG MEMBERS: HOW TO SEE 'FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION' FILM SCREENINGS

VOTING AND ATTENDING SCREENING

Voting for the Screen Actors Guild Awards® is done in two stages. The first, nominations balloting, is voted on by two nominating committees. These nominating committees are selected at random by computer each year. The second stage of voting, the final balloting, begins once the nominations are announced December 17, 2009.

NOMINATIONS VOTING
The SAG Nominating Committees -- 2100 members for the film committee and 2100 members for television -- were randomly selected April 22, 2009 and notifications were mailed to those members shortly after.  In order to be eligible to to be selected for the random nom comm pull, your Nov. 2008 dues must have been paid by Apr. 10, 2009.  Nominations ballot packets will be mailed to Nominating Committee members on Nov. 25, 2009 and must be returned Dec. 14th.  The results of the nominations voting will be announced live on TNT Dec. 17, 2009

FINAL BALLOTING
Once nominations are announced, final ballots are prepared and mailed to the full membership on Dec. 29, 2009.  In order to receive a final ballot, members must pay their Nov. 2009 dues -- and any address changes must be in -- by Dec. 15th.  Members may receive "for your consideration" materials before ballots are due.  These screening opportunities may include information provided to you online (check back to this page in January for more information) or materials may be mailed to you.  Please note all mailings are done through our guild mailing house.  SAG does not give out your information to the studios.  Final Ballots are due at the elections firm January 21, 2010 at 12 noon PT.

The recipients of the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS Saturday, January 23, 2010.  Please watch!
