Treasury Wine Estates' Beringer and Matua Vintners Names the Official Wines of the 22nd SAG Awards®

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 20, 2016) – Wines from Treasury Wine Estates' Beringer and Matua vintners will be poured at the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® and at the Post Awards Gala hosted by People Magazine and the Entertainment Industry Foundation, SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams announced today. This is the third year that vintages from Treasury Wine Estates wineries have been the Official Wines of the SAG Awards.

Beringer’s 2013 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 2014 Napa Valley Chardonnay will be served during the 22nd SAG Awards ceremony. According to the winemakers, the Cabernet is a versatile wine with subtly complex fruit notes and a silky finish. The Chardonnay is characterized by bright tropical aromas and layered refreshing fruit flavors and a clean finish.

Matua’s wines will be served during the Post-Awards Gala. For the white wine, the New Zealand vineyard is offering its 2014 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that has a classic taste, with bright aromatic herbal notes and a vibrant palate. Its red wine is the 2014 Marlborough Pinot Noir, which is considered an excellent vintage, which features bright fruity flavors, a dash of spice and a fresh, lingering finish.
