Stunt Performers from “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Game of Thrones” Announced as 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards® honorees for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensembles
LOS ANGELES (Jan. 30, 2016) — The stunt performers and coordinators from “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Game of Thrones” are this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards® honorees for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensembles, it was announced today from the 22nd Annual SAG Awards® red carpet by SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams and SAG Awards Committee Vice Chair Daryl Anderson. The announcement was made on the live 22nd Annual SAG Awards Red Carpet Show which is being webcast on sagawards.tntdrama.com, sagawards.org and PEOPLE.comon Saturday, Jan. 30, beginning at 6 p.m. (ET) / 3 p.m. (PT), with the Stunt Ensemble recipients announced at 6:15 p.m. (ET) / 3:15 p.m. (PT).
The Stunt Ensemble honors commend work within the stunt community during 2015 and recognize stunt performers and coordinators. Nominees chosen by their respective SAG Awards film and television nominating committees were announced on Dec. 9, 2015. Information on voting procedures to choose the recipients was sent to the 116,741 active voting members of SAG-AFTRA on Dec. 16. Balloting closed at noon on Friday, Jan. 29. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards' official election teller, sealed the results until Howard and Williams announced them on the SAG Awards red carpet.
