Post-Awards Gala to Honor Actors’ Philanthropic Efforts

Gala to be held on Sunday, February 26 at the Fairmont Century Plaza Immediately Following the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® Ceremony

NEW YORK, NY (February 22, 2023) – Dotdash Meredith’s PEOPLE is returning to host the official Post SAG Awards® Gala for the 25th year. The gala will be held immediately following the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

This celebration marks a milestone in PEOPLE's long-standing partnership with the SAG Awards, and highlights their continued commitment to supporting the mission and work of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. In gratitude to the actors and the entertainment community for their countless hours of volunteer work, PEOPLE will make a significant grant to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s emergency assistance programs, which helps performing artists facing life-threatening illness and severe economic hardship.

“PEOPLE is thrilled to continue our unwavering commitment to the SAG Awards. It's an honor to celebrate the incredible actors and the outstanding performances that have moved and changed us,” says Wendy Naugle, Editor in Chief, PEOPLE. “We are also proud to support the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, helping artists both in tough times, like during the pandemic, and exciting times, like when they first embark on their careers. We want artists to have opportunities for years to come.”

We are so excited for the gala’s return and cannot thank PEOPLE enough for being such great partners time and time again,” says Jon Brockett, Executive Producer of the SAG Awards. “PEOPLE’s Post SAG Awards Gala is the perfect end point to a night celebrating actors and their craft.”

“We are immensely grateful to PEOPLE for its industry leadership and its 25-year support of the SAG Awards,” said Cyd Wilson, SAG-AFTRA Foundation Executive Director. “Our Foundation's ability to serve thousands of SAG-AFTRA artists with a vital safety net depends upon longtime partners like PEOPLE. We thank them for their annual grant to our emergency assistance program to allow us to help performers in times of urgent need.”

Tony Schubert of Event Eleven, a world-class, production firm, will design and produce the gala for the 13th year. PEOPLE’s Post SAG Awards Gala will transform Fairmont Century Plaza’s lobby and outdoor plaza into a warm and inviting space with lush greenery, plush furnishings, and natural earth tone decor throughout. Better Homes & Gardens, fellow Dotdash Meredith brand, will feature furniture from their collection sold exclusively at Walmart. Providing the musical entertainment for the evening will be internationally-acclaimed DJ Michelle Pesce. The gala will also welcome spirits sponsor Campari®.

Among the featured highlights of the PEOPLE Post SAG Awards Gala will be the SAG Awards Engraving Station Presented by City National Bank, a special and intimate space within the Gala where winners will be able to take home their personalized Actor statuette the same night of the show. Another must-stop for winners and attending talent is the portrait studio in partnership with PEOPLE, Shutterstock and Netflix
