Actor Nominee Tony Hale and Champagne Taittinger's Artistic Director Vitalie Taittinger Will Toast the Opening of the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet on January 30

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 27, 2016) – Six-time Actor® nominee Tony Hale ("Veep,” "Arrested Development.") will join Vitalie Taittinger, Champagne Taittinger Artistic Director, to open the red carpet for the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® on Saturday, Jan. 30, Executive Producer Kathy Connell announced today. The annual Champagne Taittinger toast marks the opening of the Red Carpet and will be Champagne Taittinger’s 16th year celebrating achievements in film and television at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Following the Taittinger Toast, nominees and presenters for the 22nd SAG Awards will be greeted on the SAG Awards Red Carpet Pre-show, hosted this year by People deputy editor of entertainment JD Heyman and entertainment reporter Caroline Moderressy-Tehrani. It will be webcast live on sagawards.tntdrama.comsagawards.org andPeople.com beginning at 6 p.m. (ET) / 3 p.m. (PT), and will include SAG-AFTRA President Ken Howard and SAG Awards® Committee Chair JoBeth Williams announcing the honorees for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensembles.

The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT). TBS and TNT subscribers also can watch through the networks' websites and mobile apps. In addition, TNT will present a primetime encore of the ceremony immediately following the live presentation.

Tony Hale received his sixth SAG Award ensemble nomination this year, the third time he has been nominated for his Emmy Award®-winning role on "Veep." The HBO series returns for Season 5 on April 24. Hale’s other three ensemble Actor® nominations were for “Arrested Development.” He will next be seen in “Veep” when it returns to HBO in April, Kevin Smith’s “Yoga Hosers” and “Dominion” before being heard in the animated “Angry Birds.”

One of the awards season’s premier events, the SAG Awards® celebrate the outstanding motion pictures and television performances from the previous calendar year. Of the top industry honors presented to actors, only the SAG Awards are selected entirely by performers’ peers in SAG-AFTRA, which this year number 116,741. The SAG Awards was the first televised awards show to acknowledge the work of union members and the first to present awards to motion picture casts and television ensembles.
