Submitting for the SAG Awards
We’ve updated our procedures and forms for this year so please take a moment to review before submitting. The SAG Awards categorizes performances by individuals and casts/ensembles. The eligible period is calendar year 2010.
We are again this year recognizing stunt performers. These honors commend work within the stunt community and include stunt performers and coordinators in film and television. The recipients will be announced from the red carpet just prior to the SAG Awards telecast January 30, 2011.
Who Can Submit
With the actor’s permission, producers, studios/networks, agents, managers, or publicists may submit performances for consideration in the category designated by the actor. Actors may of course submit their own performances.
How To Submit
We encourage you to submit online by using our newly revamped online submissions application. In keeping with the SAG Awards commitment to the environment, which earned the SAG Awards the Environmental Media Association’s EMA Green Seal for implementing sustainable practices and raising environmental awareness, we’re hoping to further increase our online submissions this year and decrease the amount of paper generated. Again, this year you can save your work online, should you not have all the information you need to complete your submission. For your security, we are continuing to use PayPal for your online credit card transactions.

Please read our Rules and Regulations before submitting. You may also request a submissions packet (which includes all forms and our Rules and Regulations booklet) be mailed to you by contacting the Awards office at (323) 549-6707 or awardsinfo@sagawards.org.
Be sure that all spelling, contact information company/distribution information is correct. Please also confirm the awards category in which you are submitting. Information listed on your submission will be used by the SAG Awards for balloting and nominations.

Photos
Television submissions require a gallery photo of each actor for individual submission and a gallery ensemble photo for each ensemble submission.
Film submissions require a still from the film for individuals and One Sheet/Key Art (without advertising) for Cast submissions.
Photos must be a hi-res (5x7; 300 dpi) color .jpg or .tiff file. If the actor is not recognizable in costume, please submit a non-character photo. Each file must be labeled with the name(s) of the actor(s) and film/show, photo credit and copyright information. You may email photos to awardsphotos@sagawards.org or burn onto a CD and mail to the SAG Awards office. The photos will be used at the televised nominations announcement and will be made available to the media on our website. Photos will also be used for telecast advertising/promotion and the ceremony program book.
Submissions for casts and/or ensembles must be accompanied by a DVD for use by the Awards Office.
Submission Checklist:
In order to complete your submission, we must receive:
- Payment in the form of a check or credit card (via PayPal if submitting online)
- A photo of the actor if you are submitting individually. If you are submitting a cast or ensemble we need a cast photo as well as title art. You can email files to awardsphotos@sagawards.org. Photo requirements found above.
- For cast and/or ensemble submissions, a DVD screener of the film or television episode with credits for administrative use by the awards office. Credits should best represent the eligible casts/ensemble you are submitting. See cast and ensemble eligibility requirements in our Rules and Regulations.
We will contact you with any questions regarding your submission. You will receive confirmation via email or fax (if submitting paper form) once your submission has been accepted.
